The Diabetes Research and Wellness Foundation (DRWF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to finding a cure and providing care for diabetes and related complications. Description
The DRWF’s website features information and resources for people to learn about diabetes and the research into finding a cure. There are sections for type 1, type 2, newly diagnosed, caregivers, and more. Users can also use the site to find research projects, apply for grants, and contribute to the organization financially.
Research
In the Research section, users can see all of the research projects that the foundation has funded in a map of the United States. Users can also see the guidelines for grants, apply for one, or just contribute to the ongoing efforts to finding a cure.
Resources
In the Resources section, users can learn about and use valuable patient resources. There is a page dedicated to diabetes ID necklaces, where users can order a free necklace that instructs emergency personnel that they have diabetes before administering care. There are also drug discount cards, brochures, check up cards, and more – all aimed at helping people live with diabetes.
